Gardening taught me what might be the worst lesson I’ve ever learned: you can grow anything you want to! There began my love for variety. Any Blogging for Dummies book will tell you that the worst idea is to blog about many different things- that, if you want to make it big, the best way to go about blogging is to stick to one topic.
I won’t quit my day job, folks.
I want this to be your junk drawer of the internet- the odds-and-ends drawer where your chances of finding a AA battery will be equal to your luck of finding a McDonald’s chicken nugget your child hid from you three weeks ago.
We all have that drawer, and I have a special affinity for mine.
I’m an English teacher living in Middle Georgia, and I like to think my little slice of the state is God’s prime real estate. I spend my professional days wrangling (mainly) ninth graders, and I’m not sure if we’re making any progress. But I do know I’m mighty tired by the end of each day.
Anything in life is better done outside in pretty weather in my opinion, and I live for any time of year when the weather is 75 and above (hint: in Georgia, that’s often!). Generally-speaking, I just love being with the people I love most, and particularly-speaking, I love it best when pickleball, gardening, or the beach are involved.
I’m blessed to live in a singlewide cottage (read: trailer) with my favorite person alive; lucky for me, we’re married. God has been kind to me- so much kinder than I deserve!
Thanks for swinging by! Happy Reading!
